IMBA Trail Care Crew

The following is the IMBA Trail Care Crew's schedule from August 18 - 21, 2000.

August 18 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Canmore Municipal Building, 800 Railway Avenue.
The IMBA Trail Care Crew will be hosting an hour slide presentation then a two hour question and answer period. This presentation is being extended to Provincial, Federal Parks staff and trail users in the Canmore and Banff area.

August 19 there will be an information walk through on Nose Hill Park.
From 9 - 12 noon the IMBA Trail Care Crew will review the Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance proposed "Nose Hill Pilot Project Trail", as under the recommendation and direction of City Council. Participants will be limited to those on the Nose Hill Sub-committee, Parks and Recreation Staff, CMBA Executive Members, and any Alderman.

August 19 6:00 p.m. barbeque in Edworthy Park, Site 15
In an informal session we are organizing a Barbeque for the IMBA Trail Care Crew to meet members of the CMBA and parks staff. This will be a pot luck dinner where you would bring an extra something that would be shared with the group but you need to bring your own beef (and here we are talking about bringing a cow).

August 20 the IMBA Trail Care Crew will do a trail ride in K-Country, hopefully with one of the land managers. Again they will share their knowledge and expertise on how to manage concerns on existing trail networks. Meet at 8:00 a.m. in the McDonald's parking lot across from COP.

August 21 from 9 - 12 noon the IMBA Trail Care Crew will be hosting an hour slide presentation then a two hour questions and answer period at the Old Public Building 8th Flr, 205 8th Avenue SE. This session is being offered to Alderman, Calgary Parks Staff, Members on the Nose Hill Park Sub-Committee, CMBA members, Fish Creek Park, and staff in the Elbow Valley, Sheep River and Highwood Area.

This is a great opportunity to have the IMBA Trail Care Crew come to Calgary to share their expertise and experiences from the 300 plus municipalities where they have addressed land managing techniques and use issues. We as an organization believe this is a great educational experience that should not be missed.

Please confirm your attendance by emailing info@cmbalink.com. If you need additional information please do not hesitate to ask.
