That's no pond, that's a Stormwater Retrofit!

It's old news to a lot of you, but the city has been building stormwater management in Fish Creek Park.  Why is that important to us as mountain bikers?  The two areas that these ponds are being built in used to have some decent trails running through them, if I recall correctly.  Here is an aerial view of the Marshall Springs build site as of October 2008:

In the photo, you can see Evergreen Mews and 146 Ave. S.W. [bottom right and bottom left respectively].  Fish Creek can be seen meandering in the distance at the top of the photo. 

Any opinions on this build?   I've read many comments online about trails being destroyed/reclaimed in the area, but haven't had a chance to see what's been happening in person.  Post up your pictures and comments!
