Fish Creek

I was out last week to do a bit of recon on the trails south of Bridge 1 in the west end. Really quite dry on the south side, especially from the mid-point of the slope upwards. Hopefully the warm weather we're expecting on May 2-3 will dry out any leftover snow.

Fish Creek May23 Trail Report

I've rode 40k in Fish Creek last 2 nights. Trails are really dry only a few muddy sections. Lots of the new trailers that were formed after the flood are coming in nice and are very rideable. There was a sh*t load of deer (I seen 25 easy) out last night so if you do ride there soon please be aware of them. We lost some fun trails in a few places becasue of the new storm runoff areas which sucks.

new to MTB in FC

hey...i'm new to biking in the area but live really close to fish creek where canyon meadows and anderson intersect...where would you reccomend going to get on some decent single track around that area?  I've looked around but can't seem to find much.  Thanks a lot!

RE: new to MTB in FC

Most of the fun trails are in the Southwest end of the park. Just head into the main section of the park on the pathways until you cross the 2nd bridge (just past the new storm drain systems installed by the city). Right after you go over the bridge start looking to your left right away. Pick the 1st trail you see and start climbing and enjoy.
