CMBA - Coming to a trail near you!
The Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance is dialling it up to 11 for 2009, with an onslaught of trail development and advocacy!
Tearing Tom Snow a New One
Planned trail work for 2009 includes major re-routes of the soggy sections of Tom Snow between Moosepackers Trail and Station Flats, plus some work on Sulphur Springs. If all goes well, work will be done in time for the Bow 80 in September.
Lend a Hand
Tom Snow isn't going to tear itself a new one, so the CMBA needs your help [yes, you]. We need you out for as many trail days as you can handle. Let us know when you're coming and we'll provide the tools.
Get Up, Sign Up
We're now accepting new members. The hot membership level is Big Wheel, which gives you a joint IMBA and CMBA membership for only $45. Basic membership is free. Join Now. Yes, you with the bike.
Put the Word in the Streets
If you ride, you probably have friends that ride. Tell them about the CMBA and what it is trying to accomplish. Yell it from the rooftops: "Trails for the People!"
Um, what?
Sorry to rouse you from your wintry slumber. It's mountain biking season, and it's time to ride! CMBA will be posting online maps and GPS tracks of routes on the website. Tell us about the trails you're riding and how they're doing. You can find a buddy to ride with on the Forums.
