Powderface / Prairie Link

I rode Powderface on sunday from the Elbow Falls parking area. Trail was relatively dry to the Link but got progressively wetter and snowyer (is that a word?) as you went up. Eventually you were walking through the snow after the last creek crossing and into the trees. I turned around there and headed for the link. It is going to take a few warm days yet to clear all the snow hidden from the sun in the trees.

The link was in great shape and mostly dry all the way up and down to the creek. There is no bridge still so you are going to get wet feet to get across.

Prairie Creek was in great shape with only a couple of wet section. I rode to the west for about 3km to see where it took me but was boring. Prairie Creek is always a great ride and in great shape all the way to the end. The bank has eroded at the end of the trails just before the highway so it is very narrow there.

A great day to ride.

Good times

I rode Powderface short loop recently, and it was great.  I had a really good time.  The trail has been widened over the last few years, but that just makes it faster, and ultimately more accessible to beginner riders.  I rode my full squish last time, but the next go-round will have to be on the rigid SS...
