2010 Trail Days
2009 was a huge year for CMBA trail building. 10 km of new trail built and ~1600 volunteer hours!
Here are the [tentative] 2010 trail days:
- June 5 - Spin Sisters!
- June 19
- July 10
- July 24
- Aug 7
- Aug 21
- Sept - TBD
We will also be running the Trail Nights again, as they were very popular last year. Look for those starting in May.
Most of the trail work will be done in the West Bragg Creek area, pending approval of the plan [see details here]. As more details present themselves we will post them here. We're looking forward to seeing everyone again this year!
Map of the 2010 build area
The recently published draft plan for the West Bragg Creek trails included a map that should be of interest to all trail users in the Calgary area.
Assuming the proposal goes through as planned, most of the trail building and maintenance efforts of the CMBA will be done in the West Bragg Creek area this year. Of particular note are the trails in the Telephone Loop area and accessing Ranger Ridge. Completion of these trails will dramatically increase the riding options in the area.

Ridgeback
Is any worked planned this year on the Ridgeback Trail?
Yes!
Yes, we do plan on doing maintenance on Ridgeback. It's part of our agreement with SRD that we keep the trail in good shape. We are going out to do our inventory on Ridgeback soon and work it into our plan for the year. If you have input on problem areas, please let us know! Riders like you are one of our best eyes on what's happening out on the trails.
