CMBA is looking for volunteers to participate in the City of Calgary's 12 Mile Coulee Management Plan. The required qualifications are:

• Riding knowledge of the area.
• Understanding of the need for protection of the natural area.
• Sensitivity to the needs of other user groups.

Volunteering will require a commitment to attend four 2 hour meetings in June, review materials, develop recommendations and provide information to other CMBA members.

Participation in management plans is critical to protecting our rights to mountain bike in these areas. By being involved at the planning stage we can influence the plan to reflect the needs of mountain bikers while reducing user conflict and protecting the natural character of the area.
