Parks Volunteer Ranger Program

The City of Calgary is looking for volunteers for their new Parks Volunteer Ranger Program. This is the first year of a pilot program where volunteers will monitor and educate the public on proper parks and pathways etiquette in Bowmont and Southland Natural Environment Parks.
Parks Volunteer Rangers will focus on:

  • Establishing a presence in the park and on pathways.
  • Educating the public on Parks and Pathway By-laws, Animal Services, By-laws and common infractions.
  • Identifying problem areas and issues occurring in parks and on pathways and partnering with Animal and By-law Services to address problems.
