Group Leader Orientation session

The City and CMBA will be holding a Group Leader Orientation session on Tuesday May 7 at 6:00pm, followed by a talk on trail maintenance. Anyone interested in becoming a trail crew supervisor must attend this session before being allowed to lead work parties on Nose Hill. Note that this includes anyone who went to the session last year, as you need to be recertified every year. We would like to have several additional people attending this session in order to reduce the work load on our existing crew leaders and to provide us with more flexibility in choosing work days. To sign up, or for more information, email info@cmbalink.com.

Park Watch Stewardship Program

Friends of Fish Creek

The Friends of Fish Creek has invited CMBA members to join their new Park Watch Stewardship Program. Stewards patrol in pairs, noting their observations, answering questions, and rewarding responsible behavior. They can go on foot or by bike, and can even bring their favorite canine companion (on a leash). Volunteers only need to contribute an average of one two-hour shift per month.
