A Note From The Editor

After the departure of our last editor (hey, stress does that to you), you can look forward to a kinder, gentler Snakebite. Why? Many readers of Snakebite are not actively involved in the day-to-day activities of CMBA. Some are not even members. I do not want to create the impression that we are some sort of radical organization full of biker d00dz. While I am sure we have our fair share, the people who are working hard to preserve our access to non-paved trails are just like you and me. They are citizens of Calgary who believe it is worth their while to devote some (or a lot) of time to making this city a better place to live. Remember - not all trail access issues are just cycling issues. When we get the people in power to look at the real reason a park or trail may be having problems, we are helping to preserve that park or trail for all users. Why not give us a hand - join - volunteer - get involved.

Nose Hill Report Card

We have created a report card questionnaire on our web site. The goal is to get input from a significant number people regarding the City's, MAC's and CMBA's success in promoting sustainable use of Nose Hill Park.

Time to renew your membership!

It's only $10/year and helps us maintain your access to non-paved trails in and around Calgary.

We now offer one or two year memberships, and starting in 2001 all new memberships will expire on the anniversary of the date they were first issued.
