CMBA is preparing to submit an application for funding from the Moose Mountain Environmental Enhancement fund (MMEE) to address some problem trail sections and make moose mountain a better destination with more sustainable trails meeting IMBA standards. We are looking for firm commitments from our supporters. If you are interested in: 1) providing input into the design plan or 2) Know of a specific trail issue that needs to be addressed or 3) committing some volunteer labour to the execution of the final plan please contact Robert Irwin at president@cmbalink.com before March 1st, 2009.

Due to the "interesting" weather the Calgary area has experienced in the past 48 hours, the Moose Mountain Trail Day originally scheduled for Sunday May 16th has been tentatively rescheduled for Sunday, June 6, 2004. Although the weather is supposed to get better in the next 24 hours, the quantity of snow that fell on Moose Mountain is significantly more than what is present in the City, therefore even if the temperatures are above 15C, not all of the snow will melt and dry out.

The gate for the Moose Mountain Access Road is soon scheduled to open for the summer and so the time has come for us Albertan's to ride in our back yard instead of driving to BC to get our shuttle-runs in. So, there is a trail maintenance day being organized for Sunday, June 6th, 2004. (Note the new date)

The last trail day went extremely well. So, sticking with the same theme, there will be a BBQ, drinks and beer after the work is done.
