Moose Poker 2011 Pics

Moose Mountain

As promised, here are a few photos from Saturday's ride, but first...

Thanks to the volunteers: Michelle, Dave, Olivier, Andrew, Chris, Kim, Don and Richard. Y'all did a great job.

Thanks to Gord for posting the event up on the COC website.

Thanks to our sponsors for providing prizes:

Sidewalk Citizen Bakery - Aviv's scones were a big hit! Seriously, if you haven't tried his artisan bread delivered to you downtown every Tuesday, you are missing out.

TransRockies - Jerseys and DVDs!

Bow Cycle - thanks for the swag!

Cyclepath - we appreciate the goodies!

International Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day - Oct 1, 2011

Oct 1st is IMBA’s International Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day (ITAKMBD).

For those of you that joined CMBA in Fish Creek Park last Oct 2010, it was a balmy 22 degrees. Thanks to CMBA sponsors Cyclepath, Bow Cycle, MEC, Pure Cycle and the Spin Sisters, we enjoyed a fantastic day in the Park. In 2011, we decided to move the event to July and with the addition of COP, we enjoyed 2 events across the city.

Berms!

The fixes on R2 [Ridgeback, section 2] are proceeding.  We're berming corners:

$1000 Donation from Remington Development

Today Remington Development, a Calgary based commercial land development and construction company, and its Vice President Finance Pat Dodge (above right) each donated $500 to the CMBA for a total of $1000!  Our own Vice President Richard Link (above left) visited the Remington offices to pick up the cheques.

Pat was out riding in Kananaskis and couldn't believe how fun Ridgeback was!  He immediately got in touch with us and made the two donations.

A HUGE thank you to Pat and everyone at Remington for your kindness.  These donations will go a long way to help us take care of Ridgeback and other trails!
