President's report for 2008
Its now 08 ... how did we rate ?
A welcome to 2008 all you fellow cycle enthusiasts. It has been a most eventful 2007, in so many ways. Many we speak with are forcibly having to 'make' time to get outdoors and enjoy the conditions around Calgary, and for this we salute you ! How easy it is to get so caught up in the 'not so important' matters, that we miss the wonderful opportunities we have in our backyard that many will travel hours, or days to get to.
President's report for 007
The year of the spy ... for you Bond fans out there, 007 will certainly have some meaning. For us average, everyday biker guys and gals .. not as exciting perhaps, but then who could take that kind of action constantly ?
We hope your holiday went well, and the resolutions involved at least something to do with the 2 wheeled wonders ?
Our year is off to a good start with respect to CMBA. Our executive were able to meet recently and discuss some matters that needed attention, and we focused on direction of the club this season. We are actively looking for ambitious, volunteers that could help take over some positions of our executive bunch, due mainly to some moving away from the lovely Alberta climate. Our next AGM will be held soon, and details of this will come out by months end. We encourage all to please think of who, including yourselves please, could step in and offer a hand on some positions that will require some minimal time for the year.
Annual General Meeting
CMBA is holding it's 2003 AGM on February 15 at 2:00pm at Brewsters Brewing Company & Restaurant (834 11 Ave SW). All ages are welcome. A spaghetti menu will be available for $10/plate.
This year our meeting will focus on freeriding - the latest issues and solutions.
35th Annual Pathway and River Cleanup
The 35th Annual Pathway and River Cleanup has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 26th from 10am - 1pm. CMBA will be leading a group in Bowmont park and is looking for more volunters.
