Trail Day – Trampled Under Foot – June 26

  • 26 June 2026
  • Pinetop Provincial Recreation Area, Sibbald Creek Trail, Kananaskis, AB, Canada

Our newest trail ‘Trampled Under Foot’ (the third trail of our Jumped Up Loops project) needs some TLC to repair a section that got out of shape due to heavy rain and heavy traffic (animal and human). Come out and help reshape the tread and improve the drainage so that everyone can enjoy the riding trail without the mud & puddles after every rainfall!

No experience is necessary and you do not need to be a CMBA member, but please RSVP below.

We’ll meet at 9:00 am in the Pinetop PRA parking lot (map below) and after a tailgate-talk we’ll ask you to sign a waiver and then ride about 30 minutes to the worksite, where we’ll work for about 3 hours.  Bring your bike or plan on a short drive and an uphill hike.

We will be providing a BBQ lunch (optional) at the end of the Trail Day (about 1:00 pm).

Please bring something to drink and bring/wear sturdy shoes/boots. If you have them, also bring work gloves and eye protection e.g. sunglasses. We’ll bring all the tools and extra gloves, safety glasses etc. in case you need them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a CMBA member to volunteer?

No! We'd love it if you also sign-up as a member or make a donation, but volunteering your time is the most valuable thing you can do.

What should I bring?

Please bring a bottle of water or something else to drink. Trail-building is thirsty work! Also, please bring and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots. If you have some favourite work gloves and sunglasses or other eye-protection, bring them too. You might also want to bring sunscreen, insect repellant, a rain jacket, a hat/cap and a snack.
